BG Extasy Boutique Guitar Amplifier

I do not have much experience with the real amp, but it seems to be one of the most flexible amps, that ever have been created.

A lot of really good clean and crunch sounds, and a lot of - in some way - better controllable, better tweakable, more transparent, more open voiced high-gain sounds, than you usually get from some other comparable amps.

In case you are not very experienced with the real amp, reading the manual is helpful, to understand what especially all the different switches do or do not.

I already have tested some other Extasy based plugins, but this one sounded much more convincing, more authentically to me than all other ones.

I like most of the different switchable options, as they all make sense, if you want to shape certain, differently voiced sounds apart from the standard settings.

The high(er)-gain sounds have their own character, typical for this company, but at the same time are widely adjustable, from a rather vintage voiced, more decent medium-high-gain up to very intense, raw and dirty sounding modern Metal tones and a lot in between.

But also the clean(er) and crunch tones sound excellent and can - in my opinion - if properly adjusted, compete with some good sounding vintage amps.

Most probably on of the most recommendable amp / plugin for tweakers!

Even more if you experiment with some additional external cabinet/speaker IR‘s. The built-in ones already do a good job, but different ones can change the final results even more.

I've been playing a (real) Bogner Ecstasy for over a decade and since I know exactly what to expect by this iconic amp, I must confess I've never been fully satisfied by the other plugins around, none of them had the same "feel", the same room and vibes.

Luckily I've found this one by Nembrini and...wow!! I was completely blown away!! I immediately felt like I was recording my very own Ecstasy, even better, since I didn't had to crack it out loud :)

Also, love how this plugin let you control to details the sound (the cleaner feature is insanely useful!) and the CPU is not even under stress.

Seriously, the best BOGNER plugin EVER!
It's a must in all my productions right now.

Very nice switching amp with very good flexibility. I particularly like the clean channel, it has a lot of character and touch. If you could only have one amp sim and you need to cover the most ground possible, not sure there is a better choice than this one. Also, on the drive channels particularly at higher gains, I found that getting aggressive with the "HARSH" knob setting on the cabs page really works wonders. Also, the included IRs sound great, so I don't have to sift through my literally thousands of paid for 3rd party IRs.
